Updated sales definitions for PixelPoint users!

You asked for and we’ve done it! We’ve improved our ‘gross’ and ‘net’ sales definitions for PixelPoint POS to now closer match the sales on your POS reports.

Here's a look at how we previously calculated the numbers and how they will look now:

Previously:

Gross sales            Total sales           Discounts subtracted           Taxes not subtracted
Net sales            Total sales           Discounts not subtracted           Taxes subtracted

Now:

Gross sales            Total sales           Discounts not subtracted           Taxes subtracted
Net sales            Total sales           Discounts subtracted           Taxes subtracted

We’ve also recalculated 18 months of your historical sales (actuals) to reflect these new sales definitions. Any newly created forecasts (projections) will also reflect these changes, however any previously run forecasts will not be adjusted (so you may see more variance than usual on these weeks in terms of forecasted vs. actual sales). If you wish, you can recalculate any previously run forecasts.
